Blocked sewer drain cleared for a strata property in Peakhurst ✅

Our team attended the property and used our high-pressure water-jetting equipment to clear the blockage and restore the sewer drainage system.

Once cleared, we inspected the line using CCTV drain-camera equipment to check the condition of the pipework and confirm that the drain was flowing correctly.

Tree roots blocking an old sewer pipe

We recently attended a property where tree roots had entered an old earthenware sewer pipe and caused a blockage to the toilet.

With no access available beneath the floor, we carefully removed the toilet and used the existing toilet connection to:

✅ Clear the tree roots using high-pressure water jetting
✅ Inspect the sewer pipe internally with CCTV drain camera equipment
✅ Reinstall and test the toilet
✅ Apply a tree-root treatment to help slow future regrowth

Tree roots commonly enter older earthenware sewer pipes through cracked sections or deteriorated joints. Root treatment can help slow regrowth, but recurring blockages may indicate that a section of pipe eventually needs to be repaired or replaced.

If your toilet is slow to drain, gurgling or repeatedly blocking, it is best to have the sewer line properly cleared and inspected before the problem becomes more serious.

🌳 Now that’s a tree root!

Pulled this massive root system from a stormwater line at the kerb and gutter, where it had grown through the pipework and caused a serious blockage.

Tree roots are one of the most common causes of blocked stormwater drains. Using the right equipment, we can clear the blockage and investigate the condition of the pipe to help prevent it happening again.
