Another job completed at Picnic Point Farm in Bairnsdale 👌

Around 55 metres of walling rock installed along the creek bed to help prevent further erosion, washout and damage to the creek bank.

We completed this creek erosion control project in two stages, installing roughly half of the rock first and giving it over 6 months to see how it performed through the creek. Once we could see it was doing exactly what we wanted, we came back and completed the remaining section.

Really happy with how this one has worked. The walling rock has helped stabilise the edge, reduce further erosion and protect the creek bank, while still keeping a natural finish that suits the property.

Another driveway transformation in Lakes Entrance.

For Gary, we cleared and prepared the area before bringing in two truckloads of 20mm crushed granite to create a much bigger driveway and parking area.

We finished it off with treated pine sleeper edging to keep everything neat and contained.

A pretty big change from the original grassed area and now there’s heaps more room for parking and a much cleaner entrance to the property.

Another one wrapped up in Bairnsdale!

This one was a bit different, and definitely one of our favourite fences we’ve done.

We installed angled slat fencing to give the property plenty of privacy, while still keeping that one-way vision depending on which side you’re looking from.

The slats were paired with 125mm Cypress posts, which we finished using the traditional Japanese Yakisugi method, basically charring the timber to give it that blackened finish.

Yakisugi was a first for Lane, but Jacqui and Peter were keen to give it a go and we reckon it came up unreal. It really finished the fence off and tied everything together.

We also supplied and installed the sliding gate, fitted with a Centsys D5-Evo Smart automatic gate motor. It’s connected to mains power with battery backup, so the gate will still operate if the power goes out.

Really happy with how this one came together. The black slats and charred Cypress give it something a little different without being too over the top.

Another one wrapped up in Bairnsdale!

This one was a bit different, and definitely one of our favourite fences we’ve done.

Happy 30th to LBA’s very own owner/operator, Lane!

I don’t think there could have been a more fitting cake for someone who spends as much time thinking about dirt, diggers and trucks.

LBA has now been going for 7 years, and it’s pretty cool to look back at how much Lane has built from the ground up. He genuinely loves what he does, and I’m pretty sure this cake sums that up perfectly.

A massive thank you to all of LBA’s customers, past and present, for supporting Lane and the business over the years. He’s genuinely grateful for every job, recommendation and bit of support that’s helped him build the life he’s got today.

So if you see him around, make sure you wish our very own boss a happy 30th!

Not every part of a backyard needs a massive deck.

Sometimes a set of well-built steps is all it takes to turn an awkward, unused area into something that’s safe, practical and actually looks good.

This one was built in Merbau to suit the slope and tie in with the home, making access up and down the side of the house a whole lot easier.

Pretty happy with how this one came up. 👌

Pretty stoked with how the new signage turned out.

Massive thanks to .bairnsdale for doing an awesome job. They were patient, helpful and easy to deal with from the first design right through to fitting it all up. The whole process was easy and the quality speaks for itself.

It’s been a busy year for L.B.A. Earthworks and it’s good to finally have a truck that represents the business properly.
