๐ธ Did you know? New national research (Australian School Travel Survey 2025) shows most Australian children now travel to school by car. In fact, 61% of school trips are by private vehicle, while only 21% involve walking or riding, even for kids living less than 1km from school. Letโs help change that.
Building healthy habits can start with the school run. Walking or riding to school helps children arrive energised, focused, and ready to learn. Get started by joining in on National Ride2School Day this Friday 20 March.
Weโre proud to be working towards a more accessible city for all ages and abilities, with safer paths for walking, riding, and mobility devices through our Shared Use Path Network.
