We always talk about designing for the local climate.

When we sat down to plan this outdoor space, the focus was entirely on those long summer evenings. The kind of nights where the doors stay open and the kids do not want to get out of the pool until dark.

We extended the roofline to create a massive shaded alfresco to keep the harsh sun off the main living areas. Then we brought the pool right up to the entertaining zone with that clean tiled edge so the adults can supervise from the shade.
