Gibson Architects was founded on the 22nd of October 2008 by the company Principal, Mark Gibson. Mark graduated from Queensland University of Technology in 2002 and has been working in the industry for over twenty years. The Gibson Architects team consists of a diverse group of professionals who are passionate about delivering outstanding results and work which they can be proud of. Each staff member is a valuable member to the firm and as a team we strive to consistently deliver exceptional, functional spaces.

Construction has officially commenced on a new project at Star of the Sea, Torquay. This project will deliver refurbished student amenities and a new contemporary learning environment through the extension and refurbishment of the existing Prep building. It is fantastic to see the progress being made at St Edmund's College with the construction of the Keenan Building. Building B’s concrete slabs have now been poured and the team is preparing for installation of the structural steel for the roof. Meanwhile, concrete works on Building A are nearing completion, with the columns now being poured. At the end of 2025, construction was completed on the new library at St Joseph's Primary School, Childers.

The project involved relocating the library to a more central location within the primary school and providing the flexibility to accommodate the school's continued growth.

Stage 4 at St Ann’s School, Redbank Plains was completed in early 2026, delivering exciting upgrades and new learning spaces across the campus. The project includes the delivery of a new Block G building, including new classrooms, a landscaped ninja playground area positioned between Blocks G and F, elevated links and enhanced wayfinding paths, an extension to the existing Administration building, and completion of the staff carpark.

Together, these new and upgraded facilities support the school’s continued growth and enrich the learning and working environment for students and staff.

Over the years, we’ve delivered a wide range of projects at St Augustine’s College in Augustine Heights across both the primary and senior campuses, guided by the school’s broader masterplan. Our aim was to start small and focus on refurbishing the areas most in need.
