Bricked up this double height double brick wall. Will house an outdoor kitchen and privacy screening from topside of wall to ceiling to close this section off in the patio.

Finished pool walls today. Ready for concrete, pool tiles and coping, waterproofing and block wall exterior finish, stackerstone and render for upper stairway gap. 👍😁

Footings Friday 👌
A few courtesy photos from the owner showing today’s progress.
The finished height of the front wall will be level with the top of the pool, allowing the tiling to run flush from the coping right through to the edge of the blockwork.
The retaining wall surrounding the pool will be 900mm high, stepping down to 800mm at the stairway opening.
I cut the existing ground back approximately 400–500mm further to create some extra space around the pool area.
The footing has been set 100mm below pool height so it won’t interfere with the pool slab.
I also:
Cut off the existing steel posts and drilled/chemset the new footing into the existing H-post concrete.
Cut the concrete sleeper stairs back approximately 200mm so the blockwork can continue through cleanly to the front wall.
Set all profiles square off the pool ready for blockwork.
A couple of little setbacks along the way — managed to find a stormwater pipe and busted an excavator hose while working around one of the H-posts 😅 — but everything is back on track.
Blocks are arriving Tuesday/Wednesday next week, and this one will be wrapped up by the end of the week. 👌

Got a hold of a pair of the new rayban meta glasses. Played with them a little bit today at work.
Apologies on the breathing and moaning sounds 🤣 Those sounds must come with age. 🤷‍♂️🤦.

Blocked up and corefilled some alterations at lowood state high school today. Also through in a window sill repair.
