Another commercial install by the sea 🌊☀️

This one at Woody Point was quite the debacle… with the onsite electricians forgetting to set conduits in the slab for us 🤦‍♂️

So, what should’ve been a simple cable route turned into a 45m+ cable tray run from the array back to our inverter station.

Not exactly the plan, but we got it done, got the system online and delivered another quality commercial solar install. 💪

And when you’ve got a panel view over the ocean like this… it makes the extra work a little easier to swallow. 👌😍

Queensland’s 2027 smoke alarm deadline is getting closer 🔥🏠

From 1 January 2027, existing Queensland homes will need compliant, interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms installed in the required locations throughout the home.

At Expert Energy Co., we can supply and install new compliant alarms for **$130 + GST each**, backed by a **7-year in-home parts and labour warranty**.

That means if you have an issue with one of our alarms within 7 years, we’ll come back and replace it **free of charge**.

⚡️ Another exciting lightning protection project — this time taking us interstate.

We were engaged to upgrade the lightning protection system on a radar tower supporting defence infrastructure for a defence contractor.

With the tower being increased in height, the existing lightning protection system needed to be completely redesigned and upgraded to suit the new structure.

As accredited ERICO System 3000 technicians, we were more than happy to take on the challenge — installing a new, taller air terminal and redesigned lightning protection system to provide effective protection for the upgraded infrastructure.

We’ve just completed this 58.13kW off-grid solar and battery system for a working farm west of Toowoomba, designed to power the homestead, workshop, stables and more — completely off grid.

We’ve just wrapped up the PV side of this 39.425kW commercial solar installation for a new 60-unit development in North Brisbane.
