Here's something extra for anyone building or renovating on the North West Coast of Tassie, have you checked out the Building Design Prime Time Podcast? Frank and Amelia sit down in each episode and to talk through real, practical topics, everything from choosing the right windows, and insulation, to navigating kit homes and council permits, project budgets and so much more!

It's the same expertise you'll find in our Devonport office, Launceston or Hobart office, just in podcast form. Whether you're deep into planning a build or just starting to think about it, it's a genuinely useful listen for locals across Tasmania. Give it a search wherever you get your podcast and let us know what topic you'd love to hear covered next.

To everyone who's stopped by, sent us a message or said hello since we opened our doors to our new office in Devonport, thank you. It's been wonderful getting to know the community and local businesses. We are only just getting started and Adah and Jessie are here and ready to help you with your next project, so don't be a stranger. Thanks to for having Adah and Jessie at this beautiful location for a refreshment!

If you're located in another part of the state, our Launceston and Hobart team would be more than happy to assist you. We cover the entire state!

We are excited to be nominated as a finalist for the upcoming Building Designer Association of Australia Awards. Last year we came away from the awards evening with four trophies, to be nominated for 4 projects is an incredible achievement, not only for us but for everyone who took part in helping bring these projects to life. We work with some amazing admin staff, builders, external consultants and councils. It takes a village to get these projects off the ground. Most of all thank you to our wonderful clients who trust us with these projects. We are often just as invested as our clients to get great results!

Cranking on the way to a site visit is definitely a vibe 🙃 - 🔊turn on the sound

From concept to construction 🏗️ This is a good look at what Adah and Jessie have been working on behind the scenes lately, a 3D design concept taking real shape onsite. It's this exact process every client goes through with us: concept,
refine, and watch it come together. Loving how this one's progressing!

A day in the life of a Prime Design Tasmania designer, Adah edition! ☕

Coffee is non-negotiable, the drive in never gets old (especially with a sunrise like this), and then it's straight into it at the Devonport office, plans, screens, and getting stuck into the details. Here's a little look at what a normal work day looks like for Adah.

A day in the life of a Prime Design Tasmania designer, Jessie edition! 🎥
From grabbing everything she needs on the way out the door, admiring a bit of office greenery,
walking into our Devonport office, a much-needed cuppa, and then it's heads-down working through site plans on the screen and a site visit to a 1960's home extension, that's a pretty typical day for Jessie. Take a look at what actually goes on behind the scenes at Prime Design.

Meet Jessie, one of the friendly faces you'll find at our Devonport office. Originally from the North West Coast, Jessie moved to Launceston in 2017 to study Architecture at UTAS. After completing her degree in Environmental Design, she stayed on in Launceston and began working with Prime Design.

Now five years into her career, she moved back home to the North West and work from the brand new Devonport
office. For any Launceston clients, no need to fret! Jessie visits the Launceston office weekly for meetings and a catch-up with the team.

Outside of work, you'll usually find Jessie doing yoga or pilates, and she’s loved trying new studios around Devonport lately, especially the 'fifth hour' mat classes in a 30-degree studio (the perfect way to move after work and escape the Tasmanian winter chill!). Jessie is grateful to be living by the ocean again, and you'll often catch her on a Sunday morning walk with a brewed almond chai in hand. Her real passion is residential projects, working closely with clients to find the right design for their new home or extension Jessie brings a kind, empathetic approach and plenty of patience through every revision, and there's nothing better than clients sending through progress photos as their project comes to
life. Watching something go from a computer screen to a finished home never gets old for her. Got a project in mind? Come and say hello — Jessie would love to chat.
