Got the old welder dialled in today!!
Swapped to a newer version (same brand) of gasless wire and couldn’t for the life of me run a decent bead……..managed to get hold of half a pallet of old stock and the results are night and day.
Welder: Weldclass Force 180MST
Wire: Cigweld Weldskill 0.9mm gasless

Some intersting times ahead!!!!!
Back where I love working………..big hills and big rocks, always up for a challenge.
Dozer is benching in the fenceline just ahead of me as it’s too steep to safely negotiate the side slope with the bobcat let alone a vehicle.

An all maxi fence makes a strong and long lasting statement, as well as looking good.
This is definitely an old school design with 4 selvedge wires on the mesh and an offset electric both sides to keep the bulls off the fence.

Eyeball bandit at it again!!!! (I like that term whoever said it to me previously)
Rails - 22
Recuts - 2 (5mm too long)
Hit in with hammer - 1
Time - 4hrs
Men - 1
No clamps, no stringlines, no sliding bevels, no wasting time tracing out cuts, just good old fashioned know how.
All my employees get taught this way, upskilling every one of them so that they can complete the job with minimal tools necessary, because when your out in the scrub and your texta runs out or your coping gadget gets lost or broken, guess what????? You have the knowledge to finish the job.
This is also efficiency and efficiency is money!!!!

Took a drive to Goondiwindi today to get my new Bullbar/siderails and winch fitted.
Big thanks to BSF 4x4 for the great product and service………in and out in 2 hours

Couple of truckloads of steel heading out this morning.
160 strainers and 63 lengths of rail delivered to a job at Delungra and 50 x 150nb strainers and a sling of rail loaded to head to Bundarra, on Monday…….looking forward to seeing these bad boys in the ground with rail between them.

Been a while since I’ve thrown up a hinged joint fence!!
Nice 940m straight run in the granite, sure was a nice change from rattling my teeth out in the traprock country.
