👧🏼💗 MEET THE YOUNGEST MEMBER OF THE MARB CIVIL FAMILY! 🚜

We thought it was time we gave our youngest Marb Civil member her moment in the spotlight… and after asking Pippa a few questions about life at Marb, we’re not sure we were prepared for her answers! 😂

🚛 What’s the coolest machine at Marb?
“Concrete truck, because it’s cool how the bowl spins and the concrete comes out the back”

👑 If you were boss of Marb for a day, what would you do?
“Make them watch movies… Shrek 3”🍿😂

🎨 What colour should Marb paint the next truck?
“Sky blue”💙

❄️ What do Mum and Ramon do at Marb Civil?
“Sit in the office with the air con and chill”😂

✈️ What makes you proud of Mum and Ramon?
“They make money for holidays”😂💰🌴

💪 What would you tell the Marb employees if you were the boss?
“Keep going and work hard”

👮‍♀️ Who is the strictest — Mum or Ramon?
“Mum. Ramon gives me whatever I want.”
…We think that one says it all😂😂

She might be the youngest member of the Marb family, but clearly she already has the management team worked out! ❤️

Keep an eye out, Pippa… that boss’s chair might be yours one day! 👑🚜

Over the last two days, some of our Marb Civil & Concreting legends have been busy hitting the books and the machines! 💪🏼

We had Andrew from Diggerman Townsville come up and put our guys and girls through their paces across a range of machinery tickets, including:

🚧Dozer
🚧Skid Steer
🚧Loader
🚧Excavator
🚧Backhoe
🚧Roller

There was a mix of paperwork, theory and plenty of practical training, with Andrew taking the time to go through everything thoroughly and making sure everyone was confident with their machines and requirements.

Andrew was an absolute champion to have on site, and our team walked away with several new tickets under their belts! 👏🏼🎫

At Marb we’re all about investing in our people, building their skills and giving our team opportunities to keep learning and growing💪🏼

A massive thanks to Andrew from Diggerman Training for coming up and putting the team through it!👏🏼

🚧👩🏼‍💻 MEET THE CREW — Alannah Down 👩🏼‍💻🚧

Today we’re introducing Alannah Down, a valued member of our administration team who plays a hugely important role in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes at Marb Civil💙

Alannah has been working at Marb Civil for approximately 3 years, including having a short period of time off to have her second son ☺️

When asked what Alannah’s favourite part about working for Marb Civil her response was
“Jade and Ramon are very family-orientated, giving myself and my family the freedom and flexibility that works for us while providing me with a great work-life balance.
The people I work alongside are the perfect blend of fun and easy-going, while still being focused and professional when it matters”

In her spare time Alannah enjoys spending quality time with her family and children, taking them to Cowboys home games or getting outdoors to go swimming and camping 🏕️🏉☀️

One of the many things we value most about Alannah is her ability to take on any task, big or small, and complete it to the very best standard. Her attention to detail, willingness to help and commitment to doing things properly the first time make her such an important part of our administration team.

We’re very lucky to have Alannah as part of the Marb family! 🫶🏼 Her dedication, flexibility and the work she does behind the scenes are a very valued part of our team ☺️

Thanks for everything you do for our company Alannah! ☺️🙏

🚧 MEET THE CREW – NATHAN POPPI 🚧

Nathan has been part of the Marb Civil & Concreting team for 11 months. Before Marb Civil Nathan has previously worked out on mine sites and also hauled out for local harvesting crews.

When asked what he enjoys most about working for Marb Civil, his answer was — the team, the management and the variety of machines he gets to work on 😎 (obviously hasn’t been trained to be a concrete driver yet as that would have been at the top otherwise😆 Still time, it’s coming 😉

Nathans favourite job he has worked on so far would be pushing trees for a block we cleared down at Forrest Beach where he was the dozer operator🌳🚜

When Nathan isn’t behind the controls, you’ll find him enjoying a few of his favourite pastimes — drinking, fishing, camping, shooting and spending time with his beautiful wife(Cute! But what does he want?🤔😆)🍻🎣🏕️

Nathan is a valued part of the Marb family, and despite his young age, he has developed an impressive level of skill and experience across a wide variety of machinery. His versatility and ability to jump on different machines make him a very handy person to have part of our crew!👌🏼

Thanks for being part of the team Nathan, we appreciate all that you bring to the team! 😎

🚧MEET THE CREW – DAVID BLADES🚧

Today we’re introducing one of our very valued and very important team members, Dave Blades! 👏🏼

Dave has been working with Marb Civil & Concreting on and off for an impressive 14 years, making him a well-known and highly valued part of the Marb crew.

Dave has the very important position of Project Manager and has played a huge part in helping keep our projects moving in the right direction ⬆️

When we asked Dave what his favourite part of working for Marb Civil is, his answer was pretty simple — it was getting to work outdoors! 🌿 And when you spend your days out on some big and challenging projects, we can definitely understand why!

One project that stands out in Dave’s time with us is the Powerlink project up at Mount Fox. It was a big job, plenty of hard work, and definitely one that left a lasting impression⚡️

When Dave isn’t busy managing projects and keeping the crew on track, you’ll usually find him drinking a nice wine🍷, fishing 🎣, or watching the horse races 🏇🏼

14 years on and Dave is still an important part of the Marb team — and we’re lucky to have him part of the Marb Family, thanks for everything you do, it never goes unnoticed! 👏

🏀 FUN FACT ABOUT DAVE! 🏀

Before Dave was managing projects for Marb Civil, he spent 4 years playing for the NBL team The Townsville Suns, followed by another 8 years working with the Townsville Crocodiles as their Marketing Manager! 🏀🐊

So, as well as being a highly valued Project Manager, it turns out Dave has quite the sporting history! 😎

Want to see Dave back in his prime? 👀🏀
