Emergency Gas Repair – Mornington Peninsula 🔧

We were recently called out to a Japanese restaurant on the Mornington Peninsula, after one of their cooktop burners wouldn’t light.

We attended site at 4:30pm and quickly identified a badly damaged thermocouple, as the cause of the issue. We replaced the thermocouple on the spot and had the cooktop back up and running, ready for the restaurant to open its doors again at 5:30pm. 👌

Another problem solved in Somerville!

We were contacted by the owner of this Somerville home looking for a solution to their side driveway, allowing them to fit their caravan all the way through.

With no compliant location available to relocate the existing hot water storage unit, we came up with a better solution — replacing it with a Rinnai instantaneous hot water system, freeing up valuable space along the driveway.

The upgrade included:

🔧 Installation of a new Rinnai instantaneous hot water system
🔥 Upsizing the existing gas line to provide the required gas supply.
💧 Upsizing the existing hot and cold water lines to 20mm.
🚿 Installation of a new garden tap for washing the caravan.
✅ Gas pressure testing of the homes gas supply line and commissioning of the new hot water system.

The new system is commissioned, tested and ready to go! 👍

🔥 HIGHER THAN USUAL GAS BILLS? — THIS COULD BE WHY. 🔥

We attended a home in Dandenong today to carry out a gas pressure test after the client noticed an issue with their gas bill.

Our testing uncovered multiple gas leaks throughout a heavily corroded, galvanised steel gas line.

Once a gas leak is detected, the gas supply cannot legally be left operating. So we gave the client an upfront, honest quote to replace the entire gas line with a new copper gasline, providing a reliable solution that’s built to last.

The client gave us the go-ahead immediately.

We sourced the materials, headed straight back to site and got to work.

Water pooling behind your roof penetrations? Don’t rely on silicone to keep your home dry.

This couple in McCrae contacted us, after noticing water ponding behind four roof flues on this 2 degree roof.

Instead of another temporary fix, we carried out a permanent solution:
✔️ Removed two redundant flues.
✔️ Raised the kitchen cowl to the correct height.
✔️ Installed custom 6-metre dry pan flashings, extending 1m before the ridge and covering the full sheet pan to ensure no water can enter is these penetrations.

🔥 Another hot water service replacement completed in Rosebud! 🔥

We recently replaced this ageing Aquamax gas hot water service, ensuring the installation was completed safely and in accordance with current standards.

This installation included:
✅ Pressure testing the existing gas line to confirm there were no leaks.
✅ Removal and disposal of the old hot water service.
✅ Raising the concrete slab to prevent future water ponding around the unit.
✅ Connecting the PTR (Pressure Temperature Relief) valve drain to the stormwater system.
✅ Installation of a new tempering valve for safe hot water delivery.

New carport works underway in Hughesdale!

For the roofing stage, we have installed:

🔨 Non-combustible flashing around the timber boundary beam along the fence line as required
🔨New metal fascia
🔨 300mm wide box gutter along the house wall
🔨 Slotted quad guttering to the perimeter side
🔨 Roof sarking
🔨 Metal roof sheeting
🔨 Polycarbonate roof sheets to allow natural light into the bedroom below
🔨 Rolled barge flashings to finish it off!

All completed to tie in seamlessly with the existing home and maintain its original aesthetics.

Next stage:
✔️ Installation of three new surface drainage pits within the driveway
✔️ Full-width strip grate at the driveway end before the garage
✔️ Connection of new metal downpipes into the property’s main stormwater system before a new exposed aggregate driveway to complete the transformation.
