Thirty-year-old concrete that's gone rusty, moldy, and slippery. Most people just live with it

This one had it all — front, side path, right through to the back patio. Decades of patina, mold down the shady side, driving rain pushing grime into every corner. We cleaned it, sanitised it, and coated the lot. Sealed it too, so the mold can't bed back in the way it does on bare concrete. The speckled finish hides the day-to-day dirt and the homeowner doesn't have to think about it.

Friday night, 9:30pm, and we're on site coating a cool room floor for a dairy manufacturer. This is what it actually looks like

Five square metre sample patch. Doesn't sound like much until you realise we had to cut back six millimetres of existing coating to get down to clean concrete. PCB grinders to remove the old stuff, bush hammers to create a proper profile, then a shot blast to clean it all up. Polyurethane cement goes down last — it handles the moisture you get in older cool rooms, which is exactly why they picked it. This is the sample. The full job is every cool room in the building.
