Wild Island is the exploration and promotion of this through art and design, ethical products, cutting-edge workshops and expeditions which engage people with the landscape. Wild Island promotes excellence in creative arts, craftsmanship and design. It fosters insightful thinking and the building of community, especially as these pertain to the identity of Tasmania as a ‘wild island’. Eleanor Ann Kramer’s show begins this week at Wild Island!

This stunning body of works embodies Eleanor’s joy of being saturated in Tasmania’s lush landscapes, as this island has slowly become her home.

“Tasmania’s boundless wilderness has invited me to notice beauty and to revel in the unknown; to linger a little longer, until the new becomes familiar and the foreign becomes home.”

This is the final weekend to see Belinda Hall’s ‘Thirty-six Views of the Mountain’ ⛰️

Belinda’s work sparks the kind of curiosity you feel when on the verge of adventure, or the feeling you get when noticing the first blooms emerging in spring 🌞 at its core, it’s a beautiful study of kunanyi intertwined with out everyday lives.
