Join Engineers Australia’s Society of Fire Safety for a technical seminar exploring the application of extreme bushfire data in performance-based building design and NCC Part G5.

Featuring experts from CSIRO and industry, the session will explore methodologies for assessing 1-in-100 and 1-in-200-year fire events, applying Specification 43 of the NCC, and using contemporary bushfire research and data to inform fire safety engineering in bushfire-prone areas.

The event will include expert presentations and a panel discussion, with networking and catering for those attending in person.

The day features presentations from Izzie White, Scott Balmforth and Elizabeth Farrelly, followed by our panel discussion How Public Narratives Are Formed, moderated by Nicky Adams. In the afternoon, you’ll participate in two of four workshops covering media, communication, design advocacy and shaping the culture of architectural practice.

The symposium is open to all, from students and graduates through to established architects and experienced practitioners. There’s plenty in the program for every stage of your career.
