A good tidy-up on this Sugar Maple, with the canopy thinned to let more light into the backyard.

We removed dead branches, shortened limbs growing towards the neighbouring property, and removed three significant rubbing branches that were causing damage and making plenty of noise in the wind.

Not every tree job has a dramatic before and after, but they all require careful planning.

This mature Liquidambar was growing over the client's roof in a tight space between multiple service lines and NBN cables. Having also been previously cut by the powerline company, the aim was to improve the canopy structure, reduce the overhang, and keep the tree healthy for the future.

Fence line tidy-up completed today! 🌿✂️

After discussing the work with the neighbour and gaining access to make the correct pruning cuts, we removed overgrown vines and trimmed all branches back to the fence line. The neighbouring deciduous trees were dropping large amounts of leaves into the gutters each year, so this will help reduce ongoing maintenance.

All green waste was mulched, the site was cleaned up, and everything was left neat and tidy.

Not every big tree needs to be removed.

This Eucalyptus Pulchella in Taroona had a previous failure point that raised concerns about its future. Before making any decisions, the owner spoke with the surrounding neighbours and asked whether they would prefer to see the tree removed or preserved. The answer was unanimous — everyone wanted to keep it.

Following a detailed assessment, we carried out targeted pruning works along with installation of two steel cables and a dynamic cable to manage the risks while retaining this important tree. The result is a safer, healthier gumtree that can continue providing shade, habitat, and character to the neighbourhood for years to come.

Sometimes the best tree work is finding a way to preserve a tree that means so much to a community.

Autumn crown reduction carried out on this mature Golden Elm, with the client requesting a substantial size reduction.

Positioned directly on the boundary line, the reduction also aimed to improve light pe*******on into the neighbouring yard as we move further into the shorter days of winter. Selective pruning throughout the canopy helped open the tree up, reduce overall mass, and create a more balanced structure across both properties.

Tamed this overgrown ivy wall today and gave it a fresh new shape

A good hedge trim made a huge difference, cleaner lines and a much tidier look overall.

This ivy has been long established and over the years it has become an important feature of the property, so the client wanted to keep it just properly maintained and brought back under control.

Over time it had started spreading well beyond the original brick wall it was growing on, making its way towards the roof and weatherboards of the home (classic ivy behaviour). After a careful cut-back and reshape, we were able to retain the character of the ivy while giving it cleaner lines and a much tidier appearance overall.

While we were there we:
✔️ Cleared growth away from the weatherboards and roof
✔️ Cleaned out the gutters
✔️ Opened the area back up for easier access to the walkway.
✔️ Tidied up the shape of the Ivy.
✔️ Removed all debris from site
✔️ And as always cleaned up after ourselves so you would never know we were there.
