"It occurred to me that there is not much information on the source of stone in Tasmania .. ..if one was to research child labour /bonded servitude or modern day slavery of stone quarries in India China Vietnam and other countries in Asia you will find the conditions of safety and pay to these children and others is unacceptable on any comparison and is described as modern day slavery .
I have been working in the stone industry for 30 yrs and I have seen the dumping of stone from India China Vietnam into Tasmania and Australian mainland
Why buy this stone that most likely is imbued with suffering and exploitation of a young life .
There are alternatives in Tasmania for your stone sourcing that do not support this exploitation.
