As our working holiday up north draws to a close, our final job for the week involves constructing a 33-metre concrete retaining wall complete with drainage and colorbond fencing mounted on top in saw screen. We’ve also finished all the excavation work in-house, including digging out the soil backfilling and spreading the remaining material around the yard. Additionally, we’ve installed another 60 metres of saw screen around the remaining boundaries. (Yes that’s OJ enjoying the sun before we leave 🤣)

We’ll finally be back in Victoria by Monday 7th and will resume normal business operations.

With just five weeks to go before we return home and resume work in Gippy, we thought we’d share some photos of the jobs we completed while over the border.

First up is our aluminium vertical blade panel fence with aluminium posts. This fence was built on sloping land and required steps down the hill to minimise gaps under the panels.

Next, we have aluminium pool panels with 100x100 ironbark fence posts to break up the contrast.

Third, we have a colorbond sawtooth profile with a sleeper underneath to help retain the dirt and future garden beds. Finally, we have Colorbond again with a trim profile and sleeper underneath to retain the garden bed on the opposite side.

Over the last month, we’ve completed numerous boundary fences, each with a unique style. These range from sawscreen colorbond profiles with concrete sleepers to Trimscreen with H4 sleepers painted by the team to match. We’ve also included double and single gates designed and made in aluminium for a lighter option. A couple of timber fences feature butted-up pailings and exposed posts and capping, each with two gates. All gates have D&D hinges and key locks for added security.

We’re currently working interstate over the winter to avoid the cold this year (🤪). We’ll return to normal business from September onwards. So many different types of gates and fences completed over the last few weeks. From slat gates to timber boundary’s picket front fencing and scroll top that was core drilled into place and secured using our special sauce 🤤 for maximum bonding to concrete retaining wall! Can’t forget the fancy keypad for one of the slats and key to like push locks for the others 👌 nothing but premium fences all round.

The Colorbond front fence features a pale eucalypt colour with a classic cream top rail. Due to the high wind area, longer posts were included and a 14mtr concrete footing was installed. A 7.2mtr sliding gate and solar automation with a keypad were also part of the installation. Everything was completed in-house with no external trades required.
