You may be seeing the MBC Garden Services name around Hervey Bay for the first time, but we’re not new to the work.
Our business was established in 2022, and we’ve spent the past three years working throughout Hervey Bay and surrounding areas. MBC Garden Services is a fresh chapter for our business — independently owned, locally operated, and focused on reliable service, honest communication, and quality work.
To help you get to know us a little better, we’ve answered some of the questions we’re most likely to be asked.
Are you a new business?
MBC is a fresh name and new chapter for our business, but we’re not new to the industry.
We’ve been operating since 2022 and have three years of hands-on experience in Hervey Bay, working with a wide range of residential and commercial properties.
Are you locally owned and operated?
Yes — we’re a local, family-run business based in the Hervey Bay area.
We live here, work here, and understand the demands Queensland conditions can place on lawns, gardens, and outdoor spaces.

Do you work on both residential and commercial properties?
Yes, we do.
We provide services for both residential and commercial clients, and we understand the importance of reliability, presentation, and consistent standards.
Do you offer free quotes?
Yes — we offer free, no-obligation quotes.
However, we do not provide final quotes from photos alone. In order to give the most accurate quote possible, we need to inspect the property in person.
Photos can be helpful as a general reference, but they don’t always show access issues, slopes, overgrowth, obstacles, waste, or other details that affect the work required.
Can I get a quote over Facebook Messenger?
You’re welcome to message us with details about your job, but a final quote will still require an onsite inspection.
This helps us provide accurate pricing and prevents misunderstandings for both you and us.
What equipment do you use?
We use a professional mix of battery and petrol equipment from trusted brands including Honda, Stihl, Gravely, EGO and Pellenc.
That means we have the grunt to tackle larger jobs, while also having the ability to complete other work so quietly you’ll hardly know we’re there.
Using the right equipment for the right job helps us work efficiently, professionally, and with consideration for the property and surrounding area.
Do you provide regular maintenance as well as one-off jobs?
Yes.
We can help with ongoing maintenance as well as selected one-off services and outdoor improvement work, depending on the job and our availability.
Do I need to clean up dog waste before you arrive?
Yes — absolutely.
All dog waste must be removed from lawns and work areas before our scheduled service.
We cannot and will not mow over dog waste. It creates serious hygiene and health issues, can contaminate our clothing and machinery, and affects equipment that must then be used at other clients’ properties.
Our equipment is our livelihood, and contamination costs time and money to clean and manage.
Your dog, your responsibility.
If waste has not been removed, affected areas may be skipped, or the service may need to be rescheduled.
Do I need to do anything before you arrive?
To help us complete the work safely and efficiently, we ask that customers:
ensure we have access to the property
secure pets away from the work area
remove dog waste
clear away toys, hoses, and loose items where possible
let us know about any hazards or special access requirements
Are you insured and police checked?
Yes.
We are fully insured and hold current National Police Checks, so our clients can feel confident knowing their property is in professional hands.
Do you work with NDIS, DVA and aged-care clients?
Yes.
We are NDIS, DVA and aged-care compliant and are happy to discuss individual service needs and arrangements.
Do you remove green waste?
Green-waste removal may be available depending on the job.
Any waste removal requirements, disposal arrangements, and associated costs will be discussed during the quoting process.
