In this customers garden I used some of the existing plants plus a gorgeous palette of lush new plants to try and maximise this narrow garden.

It's still a work in progress with some fillers and finishing touches to go. With a focus on vertical growth we should see some rapid growth and awesomeness screening out the fence and wall in no time.💪🌴💚🤙

Just some welcome to spring ramblings.

This little garden took a bigger effort than it looks. Especially that left side of the massive curve at the front.....😅...

I'll have to come back after the "grass" is down and the steel edging has weathered so that the gardens actually pop and showoff more.

With the side gardens getting a basic tidy up and a few plants and the little under stairs garden with some potted succulents and rocked up for a tidy up.

In only a few months the Heliconia should be up and beginning to screen off the neighbours a bit as well as building the tropical lushness. Longer term the Randia will provide ongoing structure, shade and screening as well. And as the Poinciana tree grows back over and the whole gardens matures we are also going to look at changing out plants to more tropical varieties.

As we were trying to keep the budget down we invested in some materials and plants and then used some of the customers cutting, pots and plants to finish off and overall it's come up great. We are planning to add a few more groundcover, filler and little pops but not a bad start.💪💚🌴🤙

If you want a great tropical garden and want it basic, low maintenance and you don't have access to my amazing garden design and consulting services. Then use this as a template. It's the Basic Kev formula of a few palms, some bulk green background, colourful Cordys, a basic Brom and standard front edge plants and fillers.

All fairly....sun hardy, tough and still looks lush and tropical. Easy to source mostly and minimal issues with pest and disease. If you invest in the soil and mulch and basic fertilisers with a regular watering culture when necessary it will survive tough conditions and thrive in the good weather.

This garden is only about a year old and I would have pictures on the page from last year. We have lushed up this spot from a post pool build to a beautiful tropical garden and it will only keep growing and improving.
