Today we were able to help out this amazing non profit organisation that supports our community in so many ways 🫶 The Spiers Centre Inc offers so many services and support to families and individuals who need it the most. They are located in the heart of our suburb and we always try to help out when we can. Community is everything and sometimes even a small gesture can go a very long way ❤️
On Friday, our oven finally cooked its last meal after more than 18 years of service.
We reached out to our community for help and the response reminded us just how fortunate we are to be surrounded by such an incredible network of people and organisations.
Within 24 hours, the problem was solved. ❤️
Our great friends at No Limits Perth reached out to say they had an oven they could donate to us.
Then Active Electrical Group, a local electrical contractor, offered to come out and install it for us.
And just like that, our new oven is in and ready to go — meaning our Social Club, and other activities can continue as normal, without interruption.
We were also genuinely blown away by the number of people who responded to our post, offered suggestions, shared it or simply asked how they could help. Thank you to every single one of you.
And an especially big thank you to No Limits Perth and Active Electrical Group for stepping in so quickly and generously.
At The Spiers Centre, we talk a lot about Community Supporting Community, and we see it in so many different ways. This time, it looks like an oven, a couple of generous organisations, and a community that simply says, “We can help.”
This is exactly what Community Supporting Community looks like. ❤️
