🌿 Restoring habitat along Ferny Creek

Getting on top of invasive weeds and bringing native plants back into the landscape. As the weeds are controlled, more space, light and nutrients become available for native vegetation to establish and provide better habitat for local wildlife.

It’s a long-term process, but every cleared patch and native planted helps bring the area back. 🌱

🌿 Restoring our local bush, one step at a time.

I carried out drill and fill treatment on invasive lacebark along Sassafras Creek in Olinda. As these weeds decline, more light, water and nutrients can reach the forest floor, giving native plants the opportunity to regenerate and thrive naturally.

It's rewarding to see these areas recover and know they'll support healthier ecosystems for years to come.

🪶 One of the best parts of working in the bush is moments like this.

A beautiful Superb Lyrebird scratching through the leaf litter in search of food. Every wildlife encounter is a reminder of why protecting and restoring our natural environments is so important. 🌿

🌿 Restoring Monbulk Creek

Working alongside Monbulk Creek in Belgrave carrying out revegetation and restoration works to strengthen the creek banks and support native habitat.

Great to see these waterways being brought back to life.

Looked up from the job today and had these two powerful owls keeping a close eye on things.
Always a reminder that when you're working in bushland, you're sharing it with some pretty incredible wildlife.
