Fires, flues & fans today…great to be getting closer to the end of a very long list of customer jobs.

The weather has turned cold and the remaining customers on the list are now not far off being done also.

Always pleasing to get instant results, particularly when fans are rattling and noisy…..30 minutes later….running quiet as a mouse again.

have started work on construction of this 60 metre long steel framed carport.

Our Layla is . She’s keeping everyone in line and everything on schedule. 😆🐶

Excavation done….approx 300m3 of soil, clay and rock removed to get the site cut down to level.

We’ve augured 27 x 600mm diameter holes with a target depth of 1.5mtrs for concrete footings. We couldn’t get down that deep with some as we’ve hit rock.

Fabrication and customisation of steelwork underway in the workshop

Hoping to get concrete trucks in next week, then, steel er****on starts soon after.

That old saying of “measure twice, cut once” certainly applied here.

Paul’s place is unique in many ways.

The fence panels needed to follow the curve of the roof/wall of the house to close the yard in.

The curve of both sides was different to the other, so, we traced a pattern of both and got about fabricating the curved bottom rail.

Pool fence panel rail is only 1.6mm. We trialled rolling it and the walls just kinked as it’s simply to thin, so, we “slotted” it, formed it to the pattern, then welded them into a curve.

Once fitted to the cut down panels and fitted to the house….it came up looking great.

Finally starting to catch up on wood heater & flue clean jobs….and by the looks of it…..just as the lovely stretch of warm weather turns cool.

I’ll keep at it for the rest of this week, then, will get on with lots of heater installs as the council gives out approvals.

It’s my busiest time of the year…

Getting through the huge list of wood heater services & flue clean jobs.

Had some real doozies in the past week….45 degree roofs, blocked flues, totally broken firebricks….lots of fun.

Thankfully the days have been so mild and warm.

Here’s a selection of just a few of them.

Thanks to all of my customers waiting patiently as I work my way through the list and toward your job.

Heaters, Heaters and more Heaters…

Flue after flue after flue…

It’s great to be getting through the list as quick as we can

The only real way and best method of flue cleaning is from the roof.

This way the cowl is cleaned, the flue is swept, the roof seals are checked and everything can be done properly to keep your heater operating efficiently and safely.

Thanks to all of my customers working with me and waiting patiently during this peak time to get ready for winter.

Lachlan was traveling from Melbourne to Queensland to relocate for his new job.

Cruising down the Hume Highway….he unfortunately couldn’t avoid a pothole which jolted his trailer enough to break a U-Bolt, lose a locator plate and dislodged his axle on 1 side causing the tyre to drag.

He was very lucky to be able to get off the road quickly.

A quick google search and he got us on the phone.

packed the Ute, spare parts in stock, headed over to do the repair and had him back on the road in no time.

Thanks for getting in touch and glad you made it.
