I don’t post every job as there’s not enough hours in the day. This one was worth putting up though.

I got a call from a senior citizen who needed her fire going as the nights are still cold. She hadn’t been able to get the fire going or keep it lit and was filling the house with smoke

She’d had another provider out from Canberra to “sweep” the flue. 🤔
This other provider “sweeps” flues from the lounge room, not the proper way by getting up on the roof.

I’d been referred by an industry colleague from Queanbeyan (thank you Alex)

The cowl was completely blocked except for 2 small holes.

Now cleared and the fire burning beautifully.

Had an amazing view from up on the roof 😎

Hanging doors and installing brass hardware…. had its work cut out for it with this job.

The home is older and there wasn’t a square line in sight with the door frame 🤪.

It measured 20mm out of square which always makes it interesting when trying to hang square doors.

Out with the old lightweight panel doors and in with the glass filled French doors coupled with lovely brassware these folks got in from the UK. Extra hinges installed to carry the extra weight of the glass.

Swapped over another flat door in the passageway to match the others.

Small final task was to install the brass letter opening in the front door.

Once they get painted white by the owner…they’ll look absolutely amazing.

We’ve had lots of lovely rain and we’re hopeful that we won’t get any frost now with only 10 days to go till spring 😁

Ground prep was all done and now lucerne seed & fertliser go in.

Hoppers on the seed drill loaded with the blue coated seed (inoculated lucerne) and the fertiliser (Croplift 15)

Perfect day out on the paddock.

More rain forecast for Tuesday which’ll be amazing if it happens 🥳
