Akuvox integration with inner range

A new client recently approached us with a challenging apartment intercom upgrade. After consulting multiple suppliers, they were told the integration they wanted simply couldn’t be achieved.

Our response?

“It’s complex, but it’s possible.”

The requirement was to integrate an Akuvox IP intercom platform with an Inner Range access control system, while overcoming several significant challenges:

• Existing analogue 4-wire apartment intercom infrastructure
• Minimal disruption to residents
• Reuse of existing cabling where possible
• Remote online management and accessibility
• Seamless integration with the building’s access control system

After extensive system design, testing and validation, we successfully developed a solution and have now entered the final testing phase prior to deployment.

Anyone seen this before?

We were recently called to a C*D apartment building for a second opinion on a Challenger V8 access control system.

The site had intermittent communication faults, causing several HID card readers to stop registering credentials. The client had been advised by another company that the entire panel needed replacing.

Before recommending a costly upgrade, we carried out a full diagnostic assessment, including communication, wiring, power and device testing.

The result? Fault identified and rectified within 2 hours. No panel replacement required. The system was restored to full operation for the cost of a call-out fee and labour only.
