I loved this clip where he’s talking about the excitement of starting the business working alongside his mate 5 years ago, and fast forward to now and he’s 27 with 18 employees in design, construction and maintenance! I was 1 year into InStyle at 27 with me and an apprentice!

Also a bit over 5 years since I left my podcast recording weekend at the Southern Highlands, on my way home, went to the servo at Yass, and then got to Campbelltown before realising I’d been driving in the wrong direction for 2 hours. That was disappointing

Loved chatting with Brent from on this week’s podcast! It was great hearing how even though his first attempt at running his own business didn’t work as well as planned, he didn’t give up. Instead he stepped away, learnt and worked more, then jumped back in and hit the ground running and is now kicking goals, including 2nd place in the Balcony Gardens at MIFGS this year

Paul from is this weeks guest on the podcast and I loved his answer to where he’d like to be in 5 years. Plenty of people work more than they can handle and it leads to burnout or breakdowns. And while it usually is necessary to push pretty hard in the first 3-5 years, it’s great to have a plan to obtain some more life balance
