Laser Plumbing & Electrical Greensborough

15/09/2026

You may have noticed we’re looking a little different around here.
O’Brien Plumbing & Electrical is now Laser® Plumbing & Electrical. But behind the new name, we’re still the same independently owned local business, with the same team, expertise and commitment to looking after our customers. That’s why Laser®’s promise of “Totally Dependable” feels right at home with us.
What’s new is the strength of the Laser® network behind us. We’re now connected to more than 200 independent businesses across Australia and New Zealand, giving us even more knowledge, expertise and experience to draw on.
A new name, with the same local team you trust - and even more behind us to totally deliver for you.

We’ve got some totally exciting news. Today, we’re changing our name from O’Brien Electrical & Plumbing to Laser® Plumbing & Electrical.
While our name and look are changing, the things that matter most aren’t. We’re still the same independently owned and operated local business, with the same team, expertise and commitment to quality service our customers know and trust.
And with Laser®’s promise of “Totally Dependable”, that commitment remains at the heart of everything we do.
What is changing is the network behind us. Laser® was built by tradespeople, for tradespeople, on the belief that independent businesses are stronger when they’re connected. As part of a network of more than 200 businesses across Australia and New Zealand, we’ll have even more opportunities to share knowledge, expertise and experience, learn from one another and grow.
So, you’ll still have your same local team - now with even more behind us, to help us deliver for you.

A bit of news 😎

With the start of a new financial year today also comes the beginning of a new chapter for O'Brien Electrical Camberwell.

Starting from today, the business will now operate as O'Brien Electrical & Plumbing Camberwell, expanding its capabilities while remaining proudly within the O'Brien and Laser Network. This is the first time that plumbing services will be offered by the Camberwell business.

After more than three decades building a highly respected business, Kirk Drinnan has sold O'Brien Electrical Camberwell to fellow Members Paul Harty (O’Brien Electrical Greensborough and O'Brien Electrical and Plumbing Melbourne C*D) and Mick Harty (O’Brien Plumbing Greensborough and O'Brien Electrical and Plumbing Melbourne C*D).

One of the greatest strengths of our Network is that we're never just individual businesses operating on our own. We're a community that supports one another, plans for the future and creates opportunities that benefit everyone.

For Kirk, keeping the business in the Network was an important part of the decision. It’s even more significant that it went to people he already knew and trusted, and fosters a similar culture within their businesses.

Congratulations to Kirk, Paul, Mick and their teams on this exciting new chapter. It's a story that demonstrates exactly what the power of the Network looks like in action.
