Many of our projects now start in Layher SIM with Augmented Reality (AR).

We can build the scaffold virtually in 3D, check how it fits around the structure, plan the installation sequence and generate an accurate materials list.

Once the design is complete, it’s sent straight to our supervisors’ and leading hands’ iPads, giving them access to the 3D model, drawings and gear list while they’re on site.

Using the AR feature, the model can also be overlaid onto the actual structure, allowing the them to visualise the scaffold in its real environment before and during construction. It’s a practical way to confirm the design, improve communication and help keep the project running smoothly.

It’s another tool that supports our experienced crews and helps us deliver safe, efficient and well planned scaffold.

A lot of companies are only just getting into encapsulation.

We’ve been building these systems In shipyards and industrial environments for years long before it became the “in thing”.

This year we took it another step further and invested in a massive Layher Keder roof system spanning 17m wide x 60m long giving us the ability to tackle even bigger vessel encapsulations and shutdown work.

A lot of people see the finished product, but don’t see what goes into these builds. The planning, engineering, wind management, access and the hours behind the scenes are on another level.

Proud to keep building these projects alongside Sweep Marine Services.

This one isn’t your average job.

Platform built 21 metres up, fully hung over a boiler with no easy access normally you’d be dragging up a million bits of scaffold slow and painful.

Instead we ran Layher Australia FlexBeam which meant:

Way less gear had to go up and no wasting time manhandling gear all day

That’s the difference between just “putting up scaffold” and actually thinking about the job.

We don’t do things the hard way just because that’s how it’s always been done.
