Home in the rainforest. Set high in the hills of Byron hinterland this home was redesigned to the highest standards of energy efficiency and thermal comfort. Anyone who has lived in the humid-subtropics knows the challenges of dealing with humidity and dampness. This home was build specifically to ensure there would be no mould issues by utilising passive house sustainability principles: exceptional insulation, high performance windows, airtight construction, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (HRV), optimized orientation. This was a special project that we undertook for , a luxury private estate located in the hills overlooking Byron Bay.
Our clients requested a conversion of their old stables into a stylish gym and recovery space. Our skilled carpenters were able to achieve this by using a fine selection of sustainably sourced timbers which provided the high end finishes required to compliment the overall vibe of this beautiful retreat.
With views down to the ocean, this newly created space will invigorate everyone’s desire for increased fitness and wellbeing.
