Storm season on the Gold Coast is no joke.

Every year we get called out after storms to deal with trees that should have been assessed before the wet season hit. Fallen trees, snapped branches on roofs, blocked driveways , most of it is preventable with a bit of forward planning.

Now is a good time to walk your property and look at any trees that are:

- Overhanging your roof or a neighbouring property
- Showing signs of disease or structural weakness
- Close to powerlines or fences

A quick assessment now can save you a very expensive emergency call-out later.

How do you know when a tree needs to come down?

Here are the most common signs to watch for:

- Dead or dying branches that are dropping regularly
- The trunk is leaning noticeably toward your home or fence
- Large cracks or splits in the trunk or main branches
- The tree has been hit by storm damage and is structurally compromised
- Roots are lifting your driveway, path or damaging underground pipes
- The tree is too close to powerlines or your roofline

If you are seeing any of these, it is worth getting a qualified arborist out for an assessment before the problem gets worse.

Palm removals are one of our specialties on the Gold Coast.

This job involved a tall Queen Palm in a residential property. Removed section by section from the top down, with all green waste chipped and cleared on the day.

Overgrown palms drop fronds, attract pests and can become a serious hazard. If yours is looking out of control, we can help.
