From problem tiles to a perfectly prepared floor 👌
This one was all about the prep. We started by removing all loose and compromised tiles, then mechanically ground the remaining tiled surface to create the correct profile for adhesion. The floor was thoroughly cleaned and primed with the appropriate bonding primer before being levelled to achieve a flat, consistent substrate.
Once the levelling compound had cured, we finished the entire area with a feather-finish skim coat, smoothing out any minor imperfections and creating the clean surface needed for a 3mm glue-down vinyl installation.
The finished product: 3mm Natural Oak vinyl plank laid in a herringbone pattern — and all that preparation underneath is what makes the finished floor look this good. 🔥
