What that actually looks like on site.

Before we start spraying, we need to know the wall is going exactly where it’s supposed to.

Wall position, reinforcement and project requirements all need to be right before concrete is on the way.

Shotcrete is only one part of a much bigger programme. Good planning means being ready when we need to be and staying ahead of what’s coming next.

Getting our part right means fewer hold-ups, fewer surprises and less disruption for everyone working around us.

We’ll need another 100 million views for those.

It’s never just about getting in, spraying a wall and getting out.

Basements are constantly dealing with groundwater, rainfall and pressure from the surrounding ground.

Keeping that water where it belongs is a critical part of delivering a basement that performs long after construction is finished.

Water ingress is much easier to deal with while the basement is being built than after the structure, services and finishes are in place.

Get it wrong early and you’re potentially looking at ongoing leaks, rectification works, programme delays and a problem nobody wants after handover.

Groundwater and hydrostatic pressure don’t disappear once construction is complete.

Any weak point in the waterproofing system can become a pathway for water, particularly in deep basements and sites with a high water table.

The blinding layer, waterproofing membrane, reinforcement and structural shotcrete all have a role to play.

Each stage needs to work with the next to create the finished basement wall and manage water ingress over the life of the structure.

The end goal is pretty simple: a strong basement that stays dry.

No ongoing seepage. No puddles every time it rains. No waterproofing problem waiting for someone after handover.

That’s why the work below ground matters.
