Join our fun two-day Learn to Sew Workshop and discover how exciting sewing can be while creating your very own soft toy dragon.
Soft toys are a fantastic beginner project, with lots of small curves that help students learn how to control a sewing machine while building confidence and skills along the way.
They’ll learn:

✨ Toy construction

Did you know sewing machine needle parts have so many names?
The scarf is the small indent on the back of the needle. It helps catch the bobbin thread and form a stitch.
The eye comes in different shapes and sizes depending on the job. For example, a longer eye is great for metallic thread—it allows more airflow around the thread, reducing friction and helping prevent breakage.
The point also varies for different fabrics. A Microtex needle has an extra sharp point, making it perfect for delicate fabrics as it passes through cleanly with minimal damage.
