Doors open, aircon on? You're cooling the hallway too.

A split system is sized for the room it's in. Leave the door open and it's trying to cool the whole house. It runs harder, takes longer and costs more.

Close the door. Small habit, cooler room.

Still blowing cold doesn't mean it's fine.

Dust builds up on the filters and coils long before you feel a difference. The system works harder to push air through, uses more power, and the air coming out isn't as clean as you think.

When did your aircon last get a service? Be honest.

Bigger isn't always better. Not with aircon.

An oversized system cools the room fast, switches off, then switches back on. Over and over. It never runs long enough to pull the moisture out of the air, so the room ends up cold and clammy. On the Gold Coast, humidity is half the battle.

The right size depends on the room, the insulation and how much sun it gets.

Thinking about a new system? Send us a message and we'll help you size it properly, or call 0404 522 575.

Setting it to 16 won't cool the room any faster.

Your aircon cools at the same speed whether you pick 16 or 24. The lower number just keeps it running longer, and your power bill notices.

Set the temperature you actually want and let it do its job.

Be honest. Who in your house does this? 👀
