Hi, I’m Daniel. Founder and Director of DARK Electrical.
I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself properly, because while DARK is a huge part of my life, there’s much more behind the business than just electrical work.
I started DARK because I wanted to build something I could genuinely be proud of. A company people could trust, rely on and feel confident welcoming into their home or business.
The name DARK represents the values my team and I strive to live by every day:
D — Dependability
A — Accountability
R — Respect
K — Knowledge
For me, though, those values extend well beyond the workplace.
I’ve always had a big heart and genuinely care about people. My family, my mates, my team and our clients all mean a great deal to me. I care deeply about the people around me, and I want to see them supported, respected and doing well.
My faith is also a significant part of who I am. It keeps me grounded and reminds me of the kind of man I daily strive to be - someone with integrity, someone who keeps his word and someone who tries to do the right thing, especially when nobody is watching.
Mental health is something I care strongly about. I believe it’s important to create space for honest conversations and to recognise that life isn’t always as polished as it can appear from the outside.
Outside of work, looking after myself physically is equally important. Training, staying healthy and spending time in the ocean gives me balance, clears my head and helps me stay focused on what matters.
I have big ambitions for DARK, but I never want growth to come at the expense of our values or the people around us.
I want us to be known as good people who genuinely care. People who keep their word, take responsibility, treat others with respect and take real pride in what they do.
No matter how much DARK grows, I want those values to remain at the heart of the company.
