During a recent Termite Inspection I completed, I detected two small areas of high moisture either side of a glass sliding door, with my moisture meter. There was no visible damage to any surrounding areas - but upon further investigations with my Termatrac T3i Radar unit, some movement was detected.

With permission from the owner, the gyprock was removed in both areas to reveal active termites eating their way through load bearing studs.

The activity was treated directly with a Termiticide dust, and a full Termidor HE chemical Termite Management system was installed around the home, to protect it from any future attacks.

During a routine inspection at an acreage property this week, I discovered active Termites in two fallen trees on the property, approx 30 metres from the home. This particular species are called Nasutitermes, and although they are lower risk to homes compared to some other species, they can still cause significant damage! This activity was treated using Termidor to ensure this does not happen for the homeowner.

During a routine Termite Inspection at a property in Oxenford this week, I located Termite Activity in two seperate locations. One location was in a tree stump and the other was a nest only 2 meters from the home! This is why it is so important to have routine inspections completed at least every 12 months. Don't let these guys eat your home for dinner 😅
