We returned to one of our previous jobs to add this hardwood fence/barrier.

Our client knew she loved the idea of a repetitive design, but wasn't quite sure what material would work best. Metal was the original idea, but it quickly blew the budget, so we decided to go with hardwood instead, and we think it turned out even better.

A copper pipe runs through the timber uprights at the midway point, with copper spacing sleeves between each upright to keep everything consistent.

The curved top was a deliberate nod to the 1960s style home it sits alongside, with a subtle reference to the shape of the Bucketts Mountain in the background.

The team have been busy shifting about 60 Tonne of natural limestone rock from our local quarry - Martins Lime. How good do the bluestone steps look? Love working with these slabs. Could we please get a supplier a bit closer to Gloucester! Newcastle perhaps? These bad boys get shipped from Melbourne currently. Lots more to do! Keep it up boys.

Tried something new and created a Timelapse of a small section of pressure washing I did yesterday.
I’m pretty sure it took longer for me to figure out how to create the video then it did to complete the work. 🤔

Deb's (the wife/boss) has given me my orders, looks like im heading out towards Stroud and Girvan this Friday, so if you've been thinking about getting some landscaping done, now's a good time to book a quote while I'm already in the area.

Whether it's retaining walls, paving, garden makeovers, fencing, turf, drainage or just an idea you've been wanting to chat about, I'm happy to stop in and have a look.

Give me a call or send me a message to lock in a time before the day fills up.

Good ole treated pine. Our client simply needed these retaining walls rebuilt after they had reached the end of their service life. We always try to position our posts behind the walls where possible, creating a cleaner finish.
The boys tackled this one in the middle of winter with a bit of rain around. It doesn't take much to bring the gumboots out, but a bit of wet weather wasn't going to slow the job down.

There was a few double angles on this one. Sometimes we find it better to construct it in the shed first then take the components to the jobsite. Our client was needing an easier way to exit their home so we designed a three stage ramp, constructed it in treated pine and stained it with Intergrain merbau. If you need an access ramp made and installed please call 0412 122 691.

Every project comes with its own set of challenges, and this one in the old gold mining hills of Copeland was no exception.

The existing hardwood retaining wall had reached the end of its life. Access was limited, the site was steep and rocky, and the client wanted a solution that avoided timber altogether.

The original railway line posts were still structurally sound, but only a handful were actually in line. Building a block wall in front would have reduced valuable path space and required an expensive concrete footing, so we looked for a better option.

Corten steel proved to be the ideal solution. Its strength allowed us to retain a slim wall profile, and by welding a structural frame back to the existing railway posts, we were able to make use of what was already there while avoiding unnecessary demolition.

A big thank you to Gloucester Engineering for supplying and folding the Corten steel into a combined wall and capping profile. It made for a clean, durable finish. Josh also had another opportunity to further develop his welding skills in the factory and on site.

The result is a retaining wall built to last, with the added character that only Corten steel can offer. We can't wait to see it again in a few months once the steel has developed its natural weathered patina.

If you are in the need of a retaining wall redo please call 0412 122 691.

A simple space with a big impact. 🔥

Our clients had already incorporated Corten steel throughout their home, so it made perfect sense to carry the same material through into this new firepit area. Not only does it tie the whole property together visually, but it also offers a practical solution that will continue to develop character as it weathers.

With limited space to work with, reinforced Corten steel allowed us to create a strong retaining edge while keeping the walls slim, maximising the usable area around the firepit.

Being able to fabricate and weld on site has been a real game changer for our team. A special mention goes to Josh Germon, who is about to begin his third year of his apprenticeship. He's been putting in the work to develop his welding skills across a range of projects, and it's great to see that hard work paying off. You're becoming an invaluable part of the team, Josh—well done.
