🌳 Pests & Diseases – When Should You Call an Arborist?
Trees can often tolerate minor pest activity or seasonal changes, but some symptoms are worth investigating early. Yellowing or thinning foliage, unusual leaf spots, premature leaf drop, dieback, boring holes, sawdust-like material, fungal growth, bleeding or weeping bark, canopy decline or a sudden loss of vigour can all indicate an underlying pest, disease, soil or root-related problem.
The earlier the cause is correctly identified, the more management options may be available. Not every affected tree needs treatment or removal — sometimes monitoring, pruning, soil improvement or targeted pest and disease management is all that is required.
If your tree simply doesn’t look right, particularly if its condition is getting worse, an assessment by a qualified arborist can help determine the cause and the most appropriate next step. 🌳
Early diagnosis can make the difference between managing a problem and losing the tree.
