This massive lime tank, fabricated by Xtreme Engineering, is on the move!

Built in two sections at our Gladstone workshop, the tank has now been loaded and is ready for convoy transport.

Making the journey two hours north, it’s headed to its new home where our expert team will complete the installation and bring the project to life. 🚛🏗️

We recently sent our apprentice boilermaker Zac along to join Jodie from the Gladstone Manufacturing Hub at the COGSY - Communities Of Gladstone Supporting Youth Careers Expo.
Zac had a great time chatting with students about what life as an apprentice is really like, how he got started in the trade, and where an apprenticeship can lead while they’re figuring out career paths that interest them.
It was a great morning out meeting local students and sharing a bit about the industry.

When our apprentice meeting rolled around last Friday, we had plenty to celebrate!
First up, a huge congratulations to Matti & Sean on completing their apprenticeships! Both have recently been signed off as tradesmen, an awesome achievement. We’re incredibly proud of the effort and dedication they’ve shown over the years. Having spent time across our workshops and project sites, it’s been great to watch their growth and we’re excited to see their skills and confidence continue to develop with us.
We also celebrated Wardy, the man, the myth, the legend, on reaching 10 years of service! Clint was originally asked by Scott to help the XE team for a 2 week stint… and somehow we’ve managed to keep him ever since! Here’s to the next 10 years 😉
Wardy, thank you for the time, effort, and mentorship you’ve invested in our apprentices. Your impact in shaping the next generation of tradesmen doesn’t go unnoticed.

An exciting milestone for Xtreme Engineering!
We’re proud to share that we’ve successfully completed our ISO recertification for ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 45001 (Health and Safety).
We’ve also achieved ISO 14001 Environmental certification for the first time, which is a fantastic step forward for XE!
All certifications were completed with zero non-conformances, highlighting the strong standards we continue to maintain.
A big thank you and congratulations to our HSE/HR Manager, Anna Ryan, and the entire team. Your hard work, dedication and ongoing commitment made this possible!

Welcome to Lee, who’s recently joined the team to complete his Boilermaking apprenticeship with us here at XE! Lee comes in as a 4th year apprentice and has already hit the ground running, working across our projects and workshop teams. We’re excited to see his skills continue to develop with us.

Check out these culverts we recently manufactured and supplied for one of our valued mining clients!
A big shoutout for the tremendous effort our workshop team put in, who received the materials, fabricated everything to the high Xtreme Engineering standard we’re known for, and had it all completed and out the door in just 5 shifts.
This project involved the fabrication of two culverts measuring 15m and 17.5m. An outstanding effort by our team to deliver such a quick turnaround, with great support from our trusted suppliers and subcontractors. The culverts were assembled and welded together in our workshop using a range of impressive welding techniques, then fully painted/protective treated before being transported out to site.
Once installed, these culverts play a vital role in site infrastructure; supporting water management, drainage, and structural stability by separating and diverting water across mining areas.
Another job done right by the Xtreme team!

The team from Heritage Minerals visited our workshops recently to catch up with Dan our Operations Manager for an update on our works for Mt Morgan Gold Mine, an iconic mine (once one of the largest gold mines in the world) that has laid dormant in recent years until Heritage Minerals took over.
Here at Xtreme, our workshops are have been working on the fabrication and supply of 8 tanks, and a piping fabrication package for the tailings processing and rehabilitation project.
Heritage Minerals has applied a combination of innovation and project development to achieve a robust, economically feasible project to breathe life back into the mine, and the town of Mt Morgan! We are excited to continue working with Heritage Minerals to ensure the success of their vision.

Xtreme Engineering kicking goals in Moranbah.

Xtreme team in Moranbah has seen a collaboration of companies from Gladstone and Moranbah execute a large-scale project for one of our major clients. At approx. 75% complete the project consists of over 60t of structural steel, multiple vessels and pumps and a swag of SS & Painted pressure piping with over 2,200 welds completed to date.

With challenging brownfield site conditions and a quick turnaround for supply and installation, the Xtreme team are once again proving that we are leaders in delivering safe, high quality industrial projects with tight timelines.

With an enormous effort from everyone in our business along with our long-term working relationships with trusted suppliers & subcontractors such as I&C Instrumentation & Electrical & McCosker Contracting to name just a few.
