McCosker Contracting extends our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Robert “Bobby” Pailthorpe following his passing.

Bobby was one of those special people who simply got in and helped. His generosity with his time, his willingness to lend a hand and his genuine commitment to the Gladstone community made an incredible contribution over many years.

People like Bobby are the backbone of regional communities, and Gladstone is a better place because of everything he gave to it.

Our thoughts are with Bobby’s family, friends and everyone who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him.

Thank you for everything you gave to our community, Bobby. You will be truly missed.

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to a great Gladstone man and much loved volunteer, Robert “Bobby” Pailthorpe.

Bobby was someone who always gave his time, energy and heart to helping others and making our community a better place. His contribution to Gladstone, his generosity and his willingness to lend a hand will be remembered and deeply missed by so many.

More than just a volunteer, Bobby was a mate to many, someone who brought warmth, friendship and a great sense of community wherever he went.

My thoughts are with Bobby’s family, friends and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him during this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you for everything, Bobby. Your service to our community will never be forgotten.

Congratulations to Brandon Brown on completing his Certificate III in Engineering – Fixed and Mobile Plant Mechanic through his apprenticeship with McCosker Contracting.

Reaching the end of an apprenticeship is a significant achievement, marking years of hands-on learning, technical development and experience working alongside our teams across the business.

Brandon was also presented with the Hagedorn Achievement Award — a special acknowledgement recognising apprentices who demonstrate a strong work ethic, continued growth and a commitment to their trade.

The award is presented by Ross Hagedorn, a founding member of McCosker Contracting, who continues to share his knowledge and experience through the education, guidance and mentorship of our apprentices, employees and students.

Brandon now moves into the next stage of his career as a qualified tradesperson with McCosker, putting the skills and experience gained throughout his apprenticeship into practice.
