Youngs are proud to continue to support Rosella Park Schools recycling program in 2023. The program is expanding and the students are looking for more businesses to show their support. If you, or a business you know are able to become involved please contact Rosella for more details.

Are you able to assist?

Our Year 11 students are looking forward to starting their Vocational Training subject this week. Each week we visit long term supporters of our recycling program MST Global Gladstone, Busteed Building Supplies, Flexihire, Monadelphous, Youngs Building Contractors and MSQ who graciously collect and donate their 10c recyclable containers to our program. Students are responsible for a business, they come in and collect the containers and take them to the recycling centre for redemption. Funds raised go towards overall expenses for the end of year Transition camp.

This year we have had to break into two class groupings which has resulted in us needing to source more wonderful businesses that would be willing to support this worthwhile program.

Youngs have recently been awarded an $800,000.00 project with the Gladstone Regional Council to upgrade the waste water treatment plant.

Construction to The William Barker Shaw Causeway and Bridge was completed in 1966 and began servicing QAL when production began in 1967 . Concrete repairs and preventative maintenance see's the bridge, that delivers up to 3.8 million tonnes of alumina per year from the QAL mainland to its South Trees Island Wharf, provide many years of service.

Youngs have executed concrete remediation works and cathodic protection install to ensure the ongoing maintenance to the bridge, to date we have completed 12 headstocks with only two to go.

Shout out to the guys on the ground who have executed this project over the last 18 months.

Youngs are currently seeking skilled tradespeople to join our team on a variety of projects.
