CABINETMAKER - SPECIALISING IN RESIDENTIAL HOMES
CASUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY.....COULD LEAD TO FULL TIME
Our Gisborne based company is seeking a qualified cabinetmaker to join our well established kitchen and joinery business. The successful candidate for this position must clearly demonstrate experience and knowledge in all areas of custom made joinery from set out to completion and be able to cut, manufacture & work from CAD drawings & plans.
Applicants will be required to have the following attributes to be successful in the position:
Trade Certificate or equivalent of formal training in cabinet making
Minimum 5 years of work experience as a Cabinet Maker
Substantial project experience and knowledge of the manufacturing industry
Be able to read & interpret technical drawings & detailed plans
Be highly motivated and able to work unsupervised and take instructions
Ability to work well with others
Experience in working under pressure and to meet deadlines
Have excellent customer service skills & well-developed communication skills
Current drivers licence
White/Red Card
Forklift licence – not essential
Have a high standard of safety within the work place
Be reliable and have excellent work ethic
CNC experience not a must but is preferred
Experience with Planit software would be preferred
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Carry out duties as a cabinet maker including installation
Ensure workshop & machinery are maintained in a clean and tidy condition
Flexibility with work hours
We are looking for someone with an eye for detail that is passionate about delivering quality products to our customers. This person must be willing to show leadership & initiative in the role which could lead to a long term position within the company.
Rate of pay will be guided by experience and generous hourly rate will be offered to strong candidates using the Timber Industry Award (MA000071)
4 day working week - hours generally worked 7am – 5pm Monday to Thursday
We operate in a neat clean workshop, with modern equipment & machinery
