Supporting local builders – exceeding employment targets

Our Geraldton Aboriginal Short Stay Accommodation project is complete and has opened as ‘Bundiyarra Regional Aboriginal Community Kinship Stay’.

Mid-West Gascoyne builder and Registered Aboriginal Business, GBSC Yurra, delivered on its employment promise with more than 270 workers, including subcontractors. They also exceeded their Aboriginal employment targets with:
• 25 Aboriginal workers (target was 10), including
• 8 Aboriginal apprentices (target was 2).

The Bundiyarra Regional Aboriginal Community Kinship Stay provides safe, culturally appropriate and affordable accommodation for Aboriginal people visiting to the area.
