What a transformation!

Just 2 hours of hard work to clear this overgrown garden 🌿
Even better—so many plants rehomed instead of going to landfill.

Stay tuned for mulch and fresh edging to finish it off 🥰

Today is International Women’s Day — a day to recognise the strength, resilience and achievements of women everywhere, while also acknowledging the work that still needs to be done.

This year’s conversations focus on powerful themes like “Balance the Scales” — pushing for fairness, justice and true equality — and “Give to Gain”, which reminds us how powerful collaboration, support and mentorship between women can be.

The United Nations theme, “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls,” calls for a world where every woman and girl has the same opportunities, safety and respect.

As a woman working in the trades, I know firsthand that this industry hasn’t always felt like an easy place for women to step into. But things are changing — and they will keep changing because women are showing up, backing each other, and refusing to believe the old narrative about what we “should” or “shouldn’t” do.

That’s a big part of why Jaime and I started this journey — to help create a space where women feel confident picking up tools, learning new skills, asking questions and knowing they belong in this industry just as much as anyone else.

Through workshops, mentoring and simply supporting one another, we hope to help more women realise that the trades aren’t off limits — they’re full of opportunity.

Because when women support women, share knowledge and open doors for each other, we don’t just build projects…
we build confidence, independence and stronger communities.

The future of trades shouldn’t just include women — it should be built with them. And we’re here to help make that happen.

Happy International Women’s Day ❤️

Bunnings Trade Magazine ||

Being featured in the Bunnings Trade Magazine is something I never imagined when I first picked up my tools all those years ago. What started as a love for building, fixing and getting my hands dirty has turned into a moment that represents so much more than just me.

As a woman in trade, stepping into a traditionally male-dominated industry hasn’t always been easy. There were doubts, stereotypes, raised eyebrows and moments where I had to work twice as hard just to be taken seriously. But I stayed true to who I am, backed myself, and kept showing up — boots on, tools ready.

Seeing myself in this magazine isn’t just a personal win. It’s a statement.
It’s proof that women belong on worksites, in sheds, on scaffolding, and in leadership within the trades. It’s proof that skill, work ethic and passion don’t have a gender.

If this feature helps even one young girl or woman see what’s possible — to believe she can choose a trade, can build a career she’s proud of, can walk confidently into spaces where women haven’t always been welcomed — then this moment means everything.

I’m proud of how far I’ve come.
I’m proud to represent women in trade.
And I’m proud to be exactly who I am.

Here’s to breaking barriers, changing the narrative, and lifting each other up.
Girl power. Women supporting women. The future of trades is inclusive — and we’re only just getting started. 💪✨
