We’re proud to share an exciting milestone for Lyons Construction as we officially announce the promotion of Simon Taylor and David Bauzon to the role of Company Directors in 2025.

Both Simon and David have been deeply involved in the day-to-day operations of Lyons Construction and bring a wealth of industry experience, technical insight, and leadership strength to the table. Their close involvement on the ground gives them first-hand insight into the challenges and opportunities within the construction sector.

We are honoured to be attending the Master Builders Association of Victoria’s Excellence in Construction awards tonight at the Melbourne Crown Palladium.

Lyons Construction are finalists for Regional Commercial Builder of the Year, a major award that we are proud to have been nominated for our build of The Geelong College - Belerren Centre.

We are looking forward to a great night with thanks to Master Builders Association of Victoria !

Last Friday we had the pleasure of our Geelong Grammar School site being visited by the Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation representatives. Ash spoke to us about culture, land, waters, and nature, expanding our knowledge while Michael entertained us with the magnificent sounds of the didgeridoo.

They were introduced by Jarrod Love a Lyons Site Manager of proud indigenous heritage. After the smoking ceremony we enjoyed coming together for a barbecue with the whole site.

A special way for us to celebrate and pay our respects to the First Nations people during this year’s National NAIDOC week.

Lyons Construction is absolutely thrilled to share that last Friday evening we attended the Master Builders Association of Victoria Regional Building Awards Western Region at the Torquay RACV Resort, and walked away with three awards!

Winning the Excellence in Construction of Commercial Buildings $1M to $3M category for our Harwood Andrews Office Fit Out.

And claiming the Excellence in Construction of Commercial Buildings over $20M category for The Geelong College - Belerren Sports and Wellbeing Centre.

We were then thrilled to be crowned the overall Regional Commercial Builder of the Year - Western Region for The Geelong College - Belerren Sports and Wellbeing Centre.

We are glad to announce the completed redevelopment of the Rokewood Community Hub, within the Rokewood Recreation Reserve, the home of the Rokewood/Corindhap Hoppers F/N Club.

This vital first-class facility designed by Avor Architecture and funded by the Victorian State Government, Golden Plains Shire, and the Rokewood Football and Netball Club, it comprises a main function room, multi-use meeting rooms, change spaces and public amenities, a commercial kitchen, bar and spectator viewing areas.

The modern facility now provides new and exciting spaces for local events, activities, and sporting events within the Rokewood community.

We are proud to announce the completion of the Good News Lutheran College Mambourin Campus!

We partnered with PMDL McGlashan Everest, Fontic and GNLC to construct a state-of-the-art two-story education building, encompassing purpose-built classrooms and play area, with added outdoor sports facilities. Significant services infrastructure, earthworks, car park and fencing were also required. This completed the first stage of the colleges Junior school, in their overall master plan at Mambourin.

Everyone at Lyons Construction is excited to announce we are finalists in the 2025 Master Builders Association of VictoriaRegional Building Awards - Western!

We've got not one, but two of our recently completed projects up for awards - Harwood Andrews Office Fitout and The Belerren Sports & Wellbeing Centre at The Geelong College.

In the Excellence in Construction of Commercial Buildings ($1M - $3M), we have the office fitout we completed at Harwood Andrews, which saw us undertake a meticulously planned six month program to bring the building to life. The final result includes a welcoming reception and waiting lounge, eight acoustically sound meeting rooms, a 28-person boardroom, a company library, tea prep and kitchen/break-out spaces, multiple quiet workspaces, and a 90-seat open-plan workspace, supported by essential back-of-house amenities.

The Belerren Sports & Wellbeing Centre and The Geelong College is up for the Excellence in Construction of Commercial Buildings (Over $20M). The three-storey elite sporting facility features a double-court gymnasium, training facility, changerooms, four large classrooms, external warmup courts and a spacious event area. Designed and constructed to accommodate sports training, inter-school competitions, events and education, this space is welcome addition to the school community.

We are eagerly awaiting the Awards Ceremony to see the other incredible projects recently completed from across our region!

From greenfield, to grand opening, time flies when you’re having fun!

This week we had the pleasure of attending the official opening of the Junior Learning Building at Good News Lutheran College – Mambourin.

The forward-thinking design by PMDL has been tailored to grow with the school and the community.

We loved seeing the excitement of the students and teachers as the explore and settle into their new space.
