Over the years, DPS Plastering has delivered a wide range of projects — including Venetian plaster and microcement finishes alongside our internal plastering works.

As those specialist finishes have grown, we’ve made the decision to separate them into their own dedicated brand.

Introducing Lux Cement.

Microcement and Venetian finishes are a very different product to traditional plastering. They require different marketing, different project conversations, and a different level of architectural focus. When everything sits under “plastering,” it can be difficult for clients to see the scope and potential of those finishes.

By creating Lux Cement, we’re able to properly position and market:

• Microcement walls, floors & benchtops
• Luxury Venetian wall finishes
• Complete microcement bathroom packages

This also allows us to offer a true end-to-end system for microcement bathrooms:

DPS Plastering handles the substrate preparation and plastering.
Lux Cement manages the waterproofing, microcement floors, walls, benches, and final caulking — delivering a complete surface package under one coordinated approach.

DPS Plastering will continue to operate exactly as normal.
Day-to-day operations remain unchanged.
All internal plastering and lining works stay with DPS.

The only change is that all Venetian and microcement projects will now be delivered under the Lux Cement brand.au

As the year wraps up, we want to thank the people and partnerships behind DPS Plastering. ⭐️

To the new builders and clients we worked with this year. thank you for the opportunity and the trust. To our long-term builders and partners, we appreciate the continued work and the relationships built over time.

To our suppliers, thanks for the service and support

To our employees, past and present and the subcontractor companies we continue to work with, thank you for the work you put in day after day. The business doesn’t run without good people.

This year was about building better systems. Some worked, some didn’t. There was trial and error, adjustments along the way, and lessons learned through doing the work properly, not getting it right first go.
“Experience is what you get when things don’t go to plan.”

On a personal level, this year also brought our family one of its toughest challenges, with our boy being diagnosed with cancer. We’re grateful to those within the company and the wider community who showed support when it mattered.

We’re heading into the new year focused, grateful, and ready to keep moving forward.
