The Bay Plumbing team were busy over the school holidays, completing a much-needed water tank upgrade at theCeres Primary School.

The existing concrete tank was leaking and no longer holding water effectively, limiting the school’s usable rainwater storage. We demolished the tank and removed it before installing two new 30,000-litre Bushmans poly tanks. Linked together, they provide 60,000 litres of additional storage—ready to make better use of future rainfall.

With rain falling last week, the upgrade was timed perfectly. And with the completed project delivered from start to finish in four days, we were able to minimise disturbance to the school term.

A lot of planning goes into projects like this. Our office team coordinate the timing, site access and work sequence to deliver the work on time, safely and efficiently, with as little disruption to the school as possible.

Thanks to Ceres Primary School for having us on site. We look forward to seeing the new system support the school into the future.

Geelong West emergency drain repair

A blocked drain led us to a broken stormwater service beneath a home in Geelong West. Water was escaping from the damaged pipe and pooling under the house, creating a risk to the foundations.

After clearing the blockage, we inspected the line and found the fault. We recommended a CIPP pipe reline to seal and reinforce the damaged section from inside the existing pipe.

Where the pipe is suitable for relining, this can be a faster, less invasive option than digging up the drainage. The specified reline system carries a 50-year structural guarantee, subject to its terms and installation requirements.

In this video, I’m walking the client through what we found, why we recommended relining and how the repair is designed to help stop water escaping beneath the home.

Rainwater tank upgrade at Ceres Primary School

During the school holidays, Bay Plumbing & Drainage completed a major rainwater storage upgrade at Ceres Primary School.

One of the existing concrete tanks was compromised and leaking. Our team demolished it and removed it from site, prepared a new base, then supplied and installed two 30,000-litre rainwater tanks.

From the initial site inspection through to the completed installation, the project was delivered on time and within budget. The work adds two new tanks, each with 30,000 litres of capacity, to the school’s water-storage system.
