🏆 The Aspire Cup – More Than a Trophy. A Tradition.
This weekend, Salisbury International and Elizabeth Downs once again play for the Aspire Cup—a trophy that represents far more than 90 minutes of football.
Both clubs have proudly progressed from the SAASL into State League 2, carrying with them decades of history, success and community spirit. Every time this cup is contested, it celebrates not only the rivalry between two respected clubs, but also the journey, commitment and friendships built through football.
A massive thank you goes to Steve & Donna Horsburgh and the entire Horsburgh family, through Aspire Homes, for their incredible support of our football community.

Steve’s contribution extends well beyond sponsorship. With more than 400 games for Salisbury International and countless hours volunteering, mentoring and supporting clubs across South Australia, his dedication to football has left a lasting legacy. Donna and the Horsburgh family have stood beside him every step of the way, making an enormous contribution not only to Salisbury Inter, but to the wider football community.
The Aspire Cup exists because of people like the Horsburgh family, whose generosity and passion continue to strengthen grassroots football.
