We have been working closely with LVRC to design a new modern Community Centre that suits the community's needs and to replace the old dated Hall at Lockyer Waters.

Council has committed to build a new community centre to replace the aged Alex Geddes Hall that services Lockyer Waters and surrounds. 🙌

The design was discussed and supported at a community meeting earlier this month and is based on feedback from community representatives and needs identified during disaster events.

The funding, secured by Council from the Australian Government’s Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Grants Program (BSBR), will enable the new centre to provide a place where the community can meet and support one another, especially during natural disasters when isolation occurs.

The project is expected to be completed and open for community use in April 2024.
