Chameleon Upcycled Product is a social enterprise that provides a simulated workplace experience where vulnerable young people can learn carpentry and boiler making skills while also accessing job readiness training. In our workshop, we build custom, handmade furniture and items out of recycled materials. All items created are made at the hands of the program's trade mentor and participants using
recycled materials sourced from our community e.g. pallets, recycled wood and metal from building sites or demolished houses etc. Our team works with each young person to design, develop and create each quality custom piece. By supporting our social enterprise and buying one of our quality custom handmade pieces, you are helping a local young person develop their capacity for quality life and work towards a better future. Chameleon Upcycled Products is a gateway of Queensland Youth Services' Project Overhaul, an early intervention program offering youth aged 15 to 21 at risk of engaging in offending behaviour or disengaging from education with opportunities to reflect and work towards personal development via vocational gateways, case management and support. Each gateway provides training, development opportunities, mentoring and a connection to employers for our local youth.
