Same address. Very different bathroom.

Swipe back to where this one started.

The original Carwoola bathroom had a completely different layout, finishes and overall feel. Rather than simply updating what was already there, we had the opportunity to rethink the space and create something that better suited the home and the people living in it.

The result is lighter, warmer and far more intentional, with a generous walk-in shower, freestanding bath, double vanity, better storage and a material palette that completely changes the way the room feels.

Sometimes the best way to appreciate a renovation is to remember what was there before.

A closer look at Carwoola

Warm, textural and designed to feel considered from every angle.

For this bathroom, we paired large-format stone-look surfaces with custom timber cabinetry and warm metal finishes, giving the space depth without making it feel heavy.

The double vanity creates a strong focal point, while the freestanding bath and generous walk-in shower each have room to breathe. Integrated storage, wall-mounted tapware and carefully placed lighting finish the space without adding unnecessary clutter.

It’s the smaller decisions that make a bathroom like this feel complete.

One of our biggest bathroom transformations to date.

In this walkthrough, we take you through the finished Carwoola project, what went into the renovation and some of the thinking behind the design.

From completely reworking the space to the expansive walk-in shower, freestanding bath, custom timber vanity and carefully considered lighting, there was a lot that went into bringing this bathroom together.

What started with a bathroom, toilet and laundry renovation last year has now come full circle.

That first stage included a bathroom we’re particularly proud of - now a finalist in the 2026 Master Builders ACT Awards.

Our clients welcomed us back to complete phase two of their home this year, adding a new ensuite and walk-in robe and giving us the opportunity to carry the design language through the entire project.

From the dark stone-look finishes and deep green feature tiles to the warm timber cabinetry and black fixtures, there are details that connect each space while still allowing every room to have its own character.

Looking back at the project from where we started to where we’ve finished, it’s pretty special to see it all come together.

But even better than the finished result is having clients trust us enough to come back and do it all over again.

Dark, warm & deliberate.

For this Evatt ensuite and walk-in robe, contrast did the heavy lifting.

Large-format dark tiles carry from floor to wall, creating a seamless base for the ensuite. Matte black fixtures, a black vessel basin and frameless shower screen continue the darker palette, while the timber vanity brings in the warmth the room needs.

Then that warmth carries straight through to the adjoining walk-in robe.

Full-height timber cabinetry, open shelving, drawers and hanging space were designed around how the room would actually be used - giving everything a place without overcrowding the footprint.

The ensuite and robe might serve completely different purposes, but they were designed as one connected space.

There’s a lot happening in this kitchen without it ever feeling busy.

Full-height cabinetry makes use of the available space, the waterfall island gives the room a strong centre point, and the warm veining through the stone works back beautifully with the existing timber floors.

Then there’s one of our favourite parts - the concealed walk-in pantry. Designed to disappear into the cabinetry when closed, while giving the homeowners an entire additional zone for storage, appliances and everyday pantry items behind it.

Finished with integrated lighting, streamlined cabinetry and warm metallic details, every decision was about making the kitchen work harder while keeping the overall design clean.

Good kitchen design isn’t just what you can see. It’s what you don’t have to see.

A complete refresh of two of the hardest working spaces in the home.

For our Greenleigh project, we renovated the kitchen and ensuite with a focus on creating spaces that feel lighter, more functional and considered for the way our clients actually live.

Clean lines, warm finishes, clever storage and a consistent approach to the details brought both spaces together while still allowing each to have its own identity.

A renovation that feels completely at home in the existing house - just a much better version of it.

It’s one of the smaller choices in a bathroom, but it can completely change the space.

The right basin does more than serve a function. Its shape, scale, depth, placement and finish all influence how the entire bathroom comes together.

A sculptural vessel basin can become a feature in its own right, while an understated integrated design can keep a space feeling clean and minimal. Some bathrooms call for softness and curves, others suit sharper lines, larger proportions or something with a little more character.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach. We consider the vanity, tapware, available space and overall design direction to select a basin that feels like it belongs - while still working exactly as it should every day.

A smaller bathroom with plenty of personality.

For this Cook renovation, we worked within a compact footprint and used colour, texture and warm finishes to give the space its own identity without making it feel busy. Soft blue vertical tiles bring colour across the room, balanced by natural timber cabinetry and ceiling detailing, crisp white surfaces and warm brushed tapware.

The floating vanity keeps the floor visually open, while the curved mirror, wall-mounted tapware, streamlined shower and considered storage make the most of every available centimetre.

Proof that a smaller bathroom doesn’t need to play it safe. With the right layout and material choices, you can bring in colour, warmth and detail while still creating a space that feels open and functional.
