Why does this matter to us?

The containers, the ports, the dates. MSC Hermes III was due into:

* Fremantle on 13 October
* Adelaide on 21 October
* Melbourne on 23 October

It's a 2,510 TEU vessel, and we don't yet know what happens to the cargo aboard.

The crew are safe. All 25 abandoned ship Tuesday after a distress call about 300km east of Vietnam and were rescued from life rafts by a nearby vessel.

The ship itself. It's still out there, floating unmanned in the South China Sea. The mystery is why the crew issued a mayday call and got into life rafts, and why MSC hasn't said anything since. No salvage plan announced yet.

The Dockers are in the AFL Grand Final and honestly the whole office is buzzing. Purple everywhere, someone even brought in a cape and mask... can you guess who?

We'll still be here doing the actual work though - cargo's moving, customs entries are getting processed, none of that stops for a Saturday. But yeah, we're excited. Really excited.
